Have Scientists Proven the Existence of Atlantis?

In an article published last month, Italian researchers are said to have found evidence of the red metal alloy, ‘Orichalcum’ which was mentioned by Plato in his description of Atlantis.

The metal found on the sea floor off Sicily (above) was found to be an alloy of copper, zinc, lead, nickle and iron Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2901795/Does-strange-metal-2-600-year-old-shipwreck-prove-Atlantis-DID-exist-Mythical-red-alloy-said-lost-island-discovered-coast-Sicily.html#ixzz3T4TIyrAc Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook

Now whether you believe that Atlantis was real or it was a metaphor for a corrupt society, the shipwreck where the 39 ingots were found are dated to the 6th century CE, long after Plato’s tales.

One scientist has said that true Orichalcum was made from copper, gold and silver, where the current finds have been analyzed and found to have copper, zinc and small amounts of nickel, lead and iron.

So, is the find just an impure batch of brass or real evidence of the existence of Atlantis? Hopefully, new research and information will answer that question.

Ancient Astronomical Alignments – In Florida

One of the factors that lead me to investigate the possibility of ancient advanced civilizations were several visits to what is now known as the Crystal River Archaeological State Park in Florida.

Having two (2) of the only known stone steles in Florida (or U.S.,) the park has a proposed link to the Maya civilization on the other side of the Gulf of Mexico. Stele #1 has been dated to 440 CE, which is prior to the collapse of the Mayan civilization, so the people that raised this monument were not the remnants of the survivors.

Stele #1 is even inscribed with a face that is slowly fading from exposure to the weather. The view shown here is looking towards the northern temple mound.

Research and excavation has shown this to have been a ceremonial site with few occupants, except possibly during special periods. The site has been thoroughly excavated, but there are other sites in the vicinity that one day yield more evidence about their connections to the Maya and maybe other peoples who had a deeper understanding of our world.

Have a great day.

Dynamiting the Lost Continent of Mu

A recent article entitled, “Geologists solve the mystery of what tectonic plates float on: Scientists use dynamite to shake the truth out of the Earth’s underbelly,” summarizes the findings of recent experiments in New Zealand.

The theory of Plate Tectonics was proposed over one hundred years ago, but it wasn’t until recently that geologists knew what the plates were floating on. From the article, we learn that given a lot of dynamite explosions and data received from 877 sensors, the researchers discovered that there is a 10km layer of jelly-like rock that allow the plates to move.

Is this another nail in the coffin for alleged sunken continents? After all, the scientific community has shown that the lighter continents (lithosphere) ‘float’ on the heavier mantle (asthenosphere) in a process called isostasy, which indicates that continents do not sink.

On the other hand, is it possible that the ‘sunken’ continents hiding the evidence of ancient advanced civilizations were the result of the rise in sea levels after the last ice-age? Much of the human population lives near the coast today, would it be any different several thousands of years ago?
