Kasskara, the Hopi Mu

Recently a link to a partial translation of the German language book “Kasskara and the Seven Worlds” appeared in my inbox. The email’s author believed it might be helpful in my research into my great-grandfather James’ theories into the Lost Continent of Mu. I do appreciate the opportunity to discover more information about Mu.

This story of Mu was told to Joseph Blumrich, former NASA scientist (1913-2002) and author of The Spaceships of Ezekiel by Hopi Indian, Polar Bear.

To summarize, in this version of Mu, the inhabitants of Mu (also called Kasskara or Lemuria,) lived on their own continent in the Pacific Ocean and came into conflict with the folks from Atlantis (or Talawaitichqua.) The Talawaitichquans advanced their science and technology above all the other people, having delved into the secrecies of the Creator. Eventually they subjugated Europe and Africa and when it was time for Kasskara’s turn, an invisible shield protected them and caused the bombs to explode harmlessly in the atmosphere above them. Almost immediately, Talawaitichqua sunk, providing the instant karma they rightly deserved for their treachery and non-adherence to proper behavior. Kasskara started to sink slowly since only a few people there had been in league with the evil Talawaitichquans. Ingeniously, what is now North America started emerging and formed the new home for the survivors of Kasskara, after the emissaries of Gods living on a far-off planet flew them from their old home (the Third World) to their new home, the Fourth World. This is a short summary of a multi-page online document and readers are encouraged to research further if they are so motivated.

About the only thing in common between Polar Bear’s version and James Churchward’s version is a sunken Pacific Ocean continent. Much like other pronouncements named Mu or Lemuria, the sunken island motif is sometimes all they have in common; however, this version does not promote the idea of a white advanced civilization bringing civilization to the other humans on earth. Instead, it is part of the creation story of the Hopi.

If you missed it…

James Churchward’s Lost Manuscripts on Mu

While researching information for my next book on the Great Uighur Empire, I was surprised to discover a letter describing manuscripts James Churchward had available in early 1926.

James is known to have published travel brochures in the 1890s (see http://my-mu.com/jworks.html,) and appeared on the early days of WNYC (see http://blog.my-mu.com/?p=673.) Newspaper accounts of his theories first appear in 1924 and his first book on those theories appeared in 1926, the Lost Continent of Mu Motherland of Men.

In 1924, Baird T. Spaulding’s book was published entitled “Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East;” an account of his visit to the Far East and his interaction with the ancient masters with incredible powers. A post from 2015 provided some data (see http://blog.my-mu.com/?p=1787) on Spaulding.

In a letter dated February 20, 1926, James Churchward wrote to Stella Spaulding, Baird’s wife, to request Mr. Spaulding present a manuscript to his publisher (DeVorss & Co.) for an offer on publication. Subsequently, he mentions he has some manuscripts in fair shape.

These are the titles and his descriptions:

Mu’s Colonies and Colonial Empire – showing how the world was peopled from Mu.

The Origin and Workings of the Great Forces – showing how and what forces govern the movements of all the celestial bodies, and their origin. The forces that govern the earth’s movements – The Origin of Life, what Life is, and what forces govern it and their origin – this is my most profound work, and I would like to get it going.

Geological Phenomena – volcanic gases and their workings, which includes the great gas belts and mountain raising – there are 60 maps in this one.

James also mentions his desire to follow Mr. Spaulding’s opinion on the publication of his manuscripts. A subsequent 1926 letter from Stella Spaulding to James (contained in Lost Gems of the Lost Continent of Mu) relates Mr. Spaulding’s interest in and the great amount of time spent reading the manuscripts he received from Churchward.

A typewritten copy of “Mu’s Colonies and Colonial Empire” does exist and attempts to obtain a copy have all failed.

While it is easy to point to “Mu’s Colonies and Colonial Empire” and infer it became what is known as “Children of Mu,” and that the “Origin and Working of the Great Forces” became the “Cosmic Forces of Mu.;” however there is no corollary to the “Lost Continent of Mu” or “Sacred Symbols of Mu.” On the other hand, WR Rudge published “Lost Continent of Mu Motherland of Men” in 1926, the same year. Is this an indication James was looking for a better deal from a different publisher? James stayed with Rudge, even sending his neighbor a copy of “Copies of Stone Tablets Found By William Niven in Santiago Ahuizoctla near Mexico City” for Christmas 1926. His work was subsequently reorganized and published over the next few years.

Questions remain – are there other copies of these manuscripts out there? Is there additional material contained in these manuscripts and cut from his future books providing additional references or proofs?

SPLC Equates Belief in Ancient Civilizations and Aliens With Being a Nazi

This past week the Southern Poverty Law Center posted an article in their Hatewatch section entitled Close encounters of the racist kind

The modern far right is crisscrossed with pseudo-scientific research into lost Aryan super-civilizations, biblical giants, ancient astronauts and the occasional inter-dimensional alien.

I should stop here and allow the reader to read the SPLC article and make up their own mind to avoid the inevitable name-calling and other nonsense my comments might draw; however that would be out of character.

First, I covered racism in one of my podcasts in 2009 (please listen to the end if you have yet to watch it.)

I completely agree with SPLC characterization of some theories being racist. I don’t have any hesitation to call it what it really is or to point it out when I see it. I also believe some people today support their racist ideology with the discredited theories of the past.

ON THE OTHER HAND – I do see problems with their broad generalizations.
First, not every person reading or researching the discredited theories of the past realizes or identifies with the underlying racism. While my great-grandfather’s theory proclaims an ancient advanced civilization ruled by white people, if you missed the one sentence where it is written in the beginning of his books, you may not recognize the racist content. Sure, there are other passages deemed racist; however unless you are a northern Australian bushman, James didn’t say nasty things about you or your ancestors. (see James Churchward, Mu, and Australia)
Grouping everyone who believes in ancient civilizations as a Nazi is like claiming everyone who voted for Donald Trump to be a Nazi or everyone who voted for Hillary Clinton to be a Communist. All three broad generalizations are equally distasteful (and I personally do not care to read any ad hominem attacks or hear your opinion concerning either candidate or their supporters.)

Second, holding historic figures up to today’s politically correct values and standards is a large load of male cow manure.
It also appears to be a vehicle to denounce and rewrite history. These people were products of their generation and held beliefs according to their upbringing and current societal norms; to discard them from history because of a self-righteous attitude stinks of elitist social theories. While we may object to aspects of people’s beliefs, I do not believe we should erase them from memory; there are other contributions to society and civilization they made while living within the system they were born into. If one day, some of the elitist theories are no longer in vogue and subject to the whims of self-righteous individuals, will it be OK to delete those people from history?

In summary – ANY person making decisions or statements based on someone’s skin color is racist. PERIOD

PS Does the SPLC have articles on organizations and people denigrating Caucasians or is that not considered hate?
